Six-Team Field Set for 2026 Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Championship
Army West Point (11-3 overall, 6-2 Patriot League) has secured a share of the Patriot League regular-season championship and locked in the No. 1 seed for the third consecutive year. The Black Knights will also serve as the host venue for the semifinal and championship rounds, with games set to take place at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y.
Joining Army West Point as regular-season co-champions are Loyola Maryland (9-5, 6-2 PL) and Boston University (8-5, 6-2 PL), both finishing with identical conference records. Through league tiebreaking protocols, Loyola Maryland earns the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye, while Boston University claims the No. 3 seed.
The first-round matchups kick off on Tuesday, April 28, with higher-seeded teams hosting the contests, all streaming live on ESPN+. No. 6 Lehigh (7-7, 4-4 PL) will travel to face No.3 Boston University at 6 p.m.In the other first-round game, No. 4 Bucknell (8-6, 4-4 PL) welcomes defending Patriot League champion No. 5 Colgate (5-8, 4-4 PL) to Christy Mathewson-MemorialStadium at 7:30 p.m.
The tournament advances to the semifinal round on Friday, May 1, hosted by Army West Point,with both games broadcast nationally on CBS SportsNetwork. The lowest remaining seed from the first round will square off against No. 1 Army West Point at 4 p.m., followed by the highest remaining seed taking on No. 2 Loyola Maryland at 7:30 p.m.
The 2026 Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Championship title game is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, at 12 p.m., also airing on CBS Sports Network. The final matchup will feature the two remaining semifinal winners competing for the conference crown at Michie Stadium.
