STAL Mielec Produces First Playoff Upset in Tauron Liga
The 2025–2026 Tauron Liga women's volleyball playoffs quarterfinals have kicked off in thrilling fashion. ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec, ranked sixth in the regular season, pulled off the first major upset of the playoffs by defeating UNI Opole 3-1 on the road. Julia Bińczycka was named MVP of the match, while Weronika Sobiczewska scored 19 points; Katarzyna Zaroślinska-Król led all scorers with 24 points.

Defending champions and regular-season leaders KS DevelopRes Rzeszów secured a dominant 3-0 home sweep over Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz, with Julita Piasecka earning MVP honors.
In Wednesday’s action, PGE Budowlani Łódź pulled off a stunning comeback to beat LOTTO Chemik Police 3-2. Maja Storck took MVP honors with an outstanding 32-point performance. BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała also claimed a 3-1 victory over ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, as Adriana Adamek was named MVP.
